I have 6 passengers going to Hongkong for a tour, 3 adults and 3 children (15/13/9 yrs old). The passport of the children are expiring on April 17, 2012 and they are leaving on Oct. 22-24, will they be allowed to enter hongkong if their passports are short of 6 days to complete the 6 months passport validity?

Yes, they are allowed to enter Hong Kong even though their passports don't have 6 months remaining validity. According to the entry rule of Hong Kong, if the aliens' passports have one month validity beyond the stay duration in Hong Kong, it is accepted. It means that when you exit Hong Kong, you have to hold a passport with at least 1 month remaining validity.
