About:China Visa Exemption

Do Portuguese nationals need a visa to visit Sanya for one day.

I have a Portuguese passport and I am arriving to Sanya, on January 2011, on board an Holland-America cruise ship. I will stay in Hainan during about 9 hours. Do I need a visa to go ashore and visit the Nanshan Cultural Turist Area?

yes, you need a visa to go ashore and visit the Nanshan Cultural Tourist Area. But it is possible for you to get a visa on arrival.
