i'm british, in beijing, need to leave china to renew visa.

Question

I have extended my Chinese tourist visa as much as I can from within China so need to leave. Looking at flights, its the same price more or less in October to fly to Hong Kong,  Seoul and Tokyo. I've already been to the first two so thought I'd treat myself with a trip to Tokyo! But is it possible to get a same day visa in Tokyo? If not what's the quickest I can get an L visa back into China? Should I go direct to embassy or to an agent? Thanks!

The same day service is available in the China embassy in Japan. You will get your visa at 1600 the same day. But you need to pay additionally JPY4,000. The single-entry China visa is JPY 4,000 in Japan. You can go directly to the embassy. It is not so difficult in getting a China visa in Japan. BTW, next time when you travel to Hong Kong. You can fly to Shenzhen first, whose air ticket is cheaper then the one to HK. From Shenzhen airport, you can take the airport shuttle or subway to Luohu. Pass the border and you'll be in HK.
