About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

As a Filipina but a US Permanent Resident, should I get a VISA to visit Beijing in November?

I hold a Philippine passport and am US Permanent Resident. I'd like to travel to Beijing in November (11/8-22/11). I'd like to know if I should secure a visitor's visa from the Chinese Embassy here in Los Angeles. What are the other requirements?
