Is a double entry China Visa be sufficient? Lastly, are those places near Tibet or Nepal? Thanks a lot.

Yes, there are direct trains from Beijing to Shanghai daily. If you will just go to Beijing and Shanghai, then a single entry China visa will be enough. Beijing is in northern China, and Shanghai is in eastern China. While Tibet is in western China, and Nepal is in the west of Tibet. They are far from each other in fact.
