I am Serbian passport holder, and would like to know how long does it take to obtain chinese tourist visa (single entry) in Seoul? Also, what this actually means?
Quote- China visa rule has changed since July 1, 2010 for non-Korean applicants in South Korea. Foreigners who want to apply for visas to China, he/she must provide the alien registration card in South Korea with at least 6 months remaining validity.-end quote
Thanks.

It takes 4 working days for visa processing in Seoul. You are a Serbian citizen, if you want to apply for China tourist visa in Seoul, you have to provide the Korean Alien Registration Card with at least 6 months validity, which are issued to aliens who work or study or reside in South Korea. The Alien Registration Card can prove your long-term legal status in Korea. Without it, you can't apply for China visa in Seoul.

If you don't have Alien Registration Card, do you have been China? If you have been China, you have the old China visa sticker on your passport, the confirmed hotel booking and round-trip flight tickets, you can apply for China visa directly through China embassy in Seoul.

If you don't have Alien Registration card and you have not been China, you can't obtain a China visa in Seoul.

if you don't work, study or reside in South Korea, you can't get the Alien Registration Card.

yes, you don't need an Alien Registration Card if you have been China. You have to submit the application directly to the embassy in Seoul. Generally speaking, applicants should send their application to one of the travel agencies designated by the embassy.
