About:Shanghai Metro Line 2

Shanghai metro

I was wondering if I am taking the metro line 2 from Hong Qiao to Pudong will I get a better chance in getting a seat by riding the metro from Hong Qiao T2, backwards to the last station (Hong Qiao Rail Sta), stay in the same train for it to re-run towards Pudong?

Is it normal to do that? I have a faily long day before arrival at Hong Qiao so I bet I will have energy to stand for almost 2 hours.
