Does the new Shanghai Beijing train offer plenty of luggage space? Are there porters at stations?

There are porters at train stations but they always charge some money for taking your luggage on the train. On the new high-speed trains between Shanghai and Beijing, the free carry-on luggage for each passenger is also 20 kg (44 pounds).
