Visa of relatives of Nepalese student studying in CHINA

Hi, I am studying MBBS in China. My parents want to visit China. I talked with the university but they said that Chinese embassy may not accept invitation from university and my parents can come in traveler's visa. What should I do ? I don't have enough days left as my flight is very soon.

Thank you,
Prajwal

Ask for an invitation letter from your university first no matter what they say, then, send to your parents the invitation, together with other documents such as Proof of relationship, photocopy of your identity document (passport copy, student visa copy) and residence permit in China. If possible, bank statements, round-trip air tickets booking are helpful.

If you hold student visa (X visa) to enter China, you should apply for Residence Permit within 30 days after entering China.

If you don't know residence permit in China, which type of China visa do you hold to enter China?
