How to travel to Shantou from Shanghai/Hangzhou by high-speed(EMU)/bullet train?

At present, there is no train running from Shanghai/Hangzhou to Shantou. You should take a flight to get there.0

If you would like to take train to Shantou, you should go to Guangzhou from Shanghai and then proceed to Shantou. The journey from Shanghai to Guangzhou is about 16 hours, and the train to Shantou will take 6.5 hours.0
