Shanghai-Hangzhou bullet train

Hi, I'm planning to go to Hangzhou from Shanghai on June 4, 2019 for a day trip, do I need to book the tickets online? I just realize that June 7 is the Dragon Boat Festival. Thank you.

It is still 3 days from the holiday, so should not be under its influence. It is possible to buy ticket on spot but is would be safer if you check the availability everyday online.
