which is the best way to travel from wuhan to zhangjiajie?

We will visit Wuhan around end of August and are planning to travel around. Zhangjiajie is one of the choices. Which is the best way to get to those tourist attractions of Zhangjiajie from Wuhan? And, would it be ok to travel by ourselves (cannot speak Chinese)?

There is bus from Hankou Xinhualu Long-distance Bus Station to Zhangjiajie at 17:30 daily and it costs CNY150/person. Or you can find bus from Wuchang Fujiapo Long-distance Bus Station to Zhangjiajie at 08:00 daily and it costs CNY175/person.
