About:Passport

My husband was born in HongKong and has a valid HKID, can he apply HKSAR passport in Toronto?

My husband is a Chinese Canadian (holding Canadian passport), and live in Toronto. He was born in Hong Kong and has a valid HKID, but he's never applied SAR HK passport. Now, he want to apply it. (1)Could he able to apply it in Toronto? (2) What the documents he needs for the processing of the application? Thanks in advance.

Yes, your husband can apply for HKSAR passport through China consulate in Toronto, he needs to submit the below documents:
1. completed ID843 Form or ID844 Form
2. completed ID853 Form
3. copy of Hong Kong Permanent Residence Permit, if you don't have Hong Kong Permanent Residence Permit, you need to provide the Hong Kong Birth Certificate and valid HK ID card
4. three color passport photos

all the forms can be gotten for free from the consulate.
