carry on baggage question for international flights

We are flying Economy Class from Los Angeles to Guangzhou to Manila. What are the carry on restrictions for baggage?

Usually, the free baggage allowance for the economy class ticket holder is 20kg. On China-USA flight route, each passenger in economy class could carry 2 pieces of baggage for free. The weight should be less than 23kg and the sum for the three sides of each piece should be no more than 158cm.
