Beijing to Shanghai by train

Hi, I'm traveling to China for the first time and I would like to know what the options to travel from Beijing to Shanghai are. I heard of the Bullet train and the Express train: What's the difference between them? Where can I buy tickets and how much does it cost? And finally, Do these trains (from Beijing to Shanghai) run on Saturdays and Sundays?
Thank you very much!

Both flights and trains are available from Beijing to Shanghai. Bullet trains are much faster and more comfortable than express trains. The trains on most routes in China are running every day. About the details of the train ticket price, you could search on the website directly. And you can purchase the tickets online or at the train station in advance.

the regular train is quite slow but the bullet train is faster. I heard of a train number called T109, a regular train that had luxury soft sleeper tickets!
