china visa was denied, any suggestion for recourse? thanks

I am Filipino wish to visit China due to important and emergency reason, had applied visa but was denied. i was planning to get the visa in HK instead? hope to get suggestion, it  is just really too important for me to go to China just for a  week visit. thanks

Have you visited China before? or you had been issued visa from Chinese embassy in Philippines before? If this is your first time to visit China, you can not apply for a China visa in HK unless you are working or residing there.
