I will be visiting Taiwan in mid July. Is it appropriate to wear shorts when sight seeing and shopping?

Summer shorts will be ok outdoors; however, a long-sleeved shirt should be taken when you do shopping at these air-conditioned department stores. On the other hand, rainstorm also may happen in July, be careful.
