passport expiringi want to renew my passport.

Question

Hello,My passport is expiring soon. Please can anyone help me telling when can I go and renew my passport? There should be a minimum time or something. How much money it takes and also how many days it takes for me to get a new passport. I'm a medical student in china. Oh yeah I'll be going to the indian embassy in shanghai.Thank you.

Passport applications are submitted at the China Consulate in Shanghai from 09:30-12:00 hours on all working days. Now, you can apply for renewal of your passport. Reissue of 36 pages Passport: RMB 335.00Reissue of 60 pages Passport: RMB 415.00 It takes 30 days to issue the Machine Readable Passports. Reference cases would take longer (approximately 50 days).
