Train ticket reservation between Beijing and Xi'an

Hello,
I want to travel between Beijing and Xi'an on the 11th of July, but I have been told that the rules have changed since the 1st June, and that the tickets are now specified by names, so we need to take the tickets ourselves in Beijing station. Does that mean that your reservation service doesn't work anymore ?
