domestic to international transfer

Question

I will be flying from Guangzhou to New York via Shanghai on China Eastern. What is the procedure for connecting from domestic to international flight? Will I have to re check in my luggage?

After arriving at the airprot, you need to head for the transfer hall and  accept the immigration check, thengo to the international CIQ Area to get your boarding pass for next flight and preparing for leaving. If you hold a through ticket, you will have no need to recheck-in your luggage.
