Can you tell me a good area to find a nice apartment for an american citizen? Where should I start looking? What type of resturants are there for a westerner?

The city center area may be your first choice.  You can try to find a nice apartment there. There are Western Food Restaurants and fast food in that city too.  You can find them at West Street or East Street.
