About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

It is possible to for a U.S. citizen to get a travel visa to China from South Korea?

I am a U.S citizen planning to visit China from South Korea, but I do not have more than 6 months remaining in my South Korean visa and I do not plan to return to South Korea from China. Instead, I plan to fly to the U.S from China.
Is it still possible for me to get a travel visa to China?

You can't get a tourist visa to China because you don't have South Korean visa or Alien Registration Card with at least 6 months remaining validity. I know that you won't return to South Korea from China, therefore, the requirement for ARC with at least 6 months validity is not reasonable, many aliens in Korea can't obtain a China visa because of this reason, however, it is the rule, we can't do nothing.
