Ticket purchases for Shanghai Hangzhou express train

Hello, I will be arriving from Beijing to Shanghai on Saturday and planning to go to Hangzhou the next morning on Sunday using the G express train from Shanghai. My questions are:
1. When is the best time to buy the ticket? I heard people have to buy ticket in advanced for weekend trip.
2. Where should I buy my ticket? Is there any online services for this?

If you would like to take the train at designated time, it is better to purchase the train ticket one day in advance. Otherwise, it will not be difficult to purchase the train ticket on the spot at the railway station.

Will you arrive at Shanghai by air or train from Beijing?

I will arrive by air at Shanghai Pudong airport. Can I buy a two-way returning train ticket (both for Shanghai-Hangzhou and Hangzhou-Shanghai) for the G train at Shanghai Railway Station?

So, upon arrival, it is suggested that you take shuttle bus to any of the three train stations in Shanghai to purchase the train tickets. Yes, the return tickets could be purchase in Shanghai.
