I am Chinese and Canadian permanent resident. I have been living in Canada for 8 years. Recently, I realized that my passport was expired since April 5, 2011. Can I apply for a passport extension through a travel agent or must I go in person to the Embassy? How long will it take to get it done? What documents should I bring if I need to go in person?

You can't apply for a passport renewal through a travel agency, you must go to the embassy in person to submit visa application, you need to bring the below documents: 1. original Chinese passports and photocopies of data pages 2.
