About:Temple of Heaven

Hello,

I'm not sure what do they mean when they say that from 17.30 or 18.00 the scenic spots are closed. The whole area is open until 22, so I suppose you can see the Temple of Heaven from the exterior but maybe not go inside, right? Can you stand on the altar after 18.00 or is it closed?

Thank you!
