About:Chinese Embassy in Nepal

Dear SIR,
I am Indian from Darjeeling and planning to go Guangzhou (China) from Kathmandu By road. I have heard that there is one international Bus from Kathmandu to Lhasa after that from Lhasa to Guangzhou there is a Train Service, so if it possible then I like to apply a Tourist Visa from Kathmandu to China.
I will be very thankful if you give the Details of Bus & Train Route and also the Details for processing visa.
Waiting for your reply
Thank you
Manish Raya

If you need to visit Lhasa, you need to apply for a Tibet Entry Permit issued by Tibet Travel Bureau in advance. With this permit, train tickets and all other required documents, you can submit your visa application to CVASC in New Delhi. Regular processing takes about 4 working days.
The bus fare is about CNY520/person and it takes around 2 days. There is one daily train from Lhasa to Guangzhou. It departs at 12:05 and takes about CNY923 for the hard sleeper and CNY1530 for the soft sleeper. It takes about 2 days and 6.5 hours. But you'd better go there by flight, and Tibet Entry Permit if not required.
