About:Chinese Porcelain

I have a earthen ware cup. Very beautifully finished with a high white glaze on the inside with a blue rim around. Also the outside has greyer finish with brown specles, and a dull blue rim on the bottom edge. It has a red lobster (or prawn) with two long blue antennae on the out side as well as two blue-ish greenchinese characters. One of the chinese characters is larger than the other and I was told it was the name of the lobster and the smaller one the name of the designer/maker etc. Can any one give me some info on this piece?

I think you can go to find a professor in a university who is studying archaeology to help you to find some info. for your ware cup.
