About:Hong Kong International Airport

Hello everyone! Our family will be going to Vietnam to vacation in June. Our layover is in Hong Kong. I would like to know if I were to schedule a longer layover than what's on the regular itinerary, how many days would I need to be able to see enough of Hong Kong. How far is the airport from the main center? Which would be the best place to stay-near the airport or elsewhere? Is it safe for a woman and 2 young children to travel alone? Which attractions would you higher suggest? Thank you in advance for your help.

3 days are enough for you to visit Hong Kong. You can go to visit the Ocean Park, Repluse Bay, Stanley Market, the peak, Central area, Avenue of stars, Temple Street,Ngong Ping 360, Disneyland and some shopping areas in HK like Mongkok area and Tsim Sha Tsui area.
It is far from the airport to the main center area in Hong Kong.
I suggest you stay at Tsim Sha tsui area or Mongkok area so that it is very convenient for you to shopping, dinning and taking public transport.
It is generally safe for you and your children to travel in HK.
