how long does flight from Shanghai to Dunhuang take?Then flight to Urumchi?Length of time for train from Urumchi to Kashgar?Are there nice bed and breakfast places in all these cities?  i would prefer to stay in something other than a vast hotel?Also my husband is disabled and uses an electric scooter. Will he be able to see parts of the Buddhist caves on level ground?  We would hire a china travel minibus and guide

Firstly, it seems that there is no direct flight from Shanghai to Dunhuang. You have to make a transfer at Xian. The flight from Dunhuang to Urumqi will take about 1.5 hours. You could search the flight info on this page: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-flights/Train K9786/K9787 from Urumqi to Kashgar will take 25 hours, and train 7556/7557 will take 32 hours. You may choose fly to Kashgar.Considering the food and natural environment here, it is suggested that you stay at a comfortable hotel in these cities. And, your hubby could see some caves on electric scooter.
