About:Getting to Dunhuang

how long does flight from Shanghai to Dunhuang take?
Then flight to Urumchi?
Length of time for train from Urumchi to Kashgar?
Are there nice bed and breakfast places in all these cities? i would prefer to stay in something other than a vast hotel?
Also my husband is disabled and uses an electric scooter. Will he be able to see parts of the Buddhist caves on level ground? We would hire a china travel minibus and guide

Firstly, it seems that there is no direct flight from Shanghai to Dunhuang. You have to make a transfer at Xian. The flight from Dunhuang to Urumqi will take about 1.5 hours. You could search the flight info on this page: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-flights/

Train K9786/K9787 from Urumqi to Kashgar will take 25 hours, and train 7556/7557 will take 32 hours. You may choose fly to Kashgar.

Considering the food and natural environment here, it is suggested that you stay at a comfortable hotel in these cities. And, your hubby could see some caves on electric scooter.
