About:China Train

Hello,
My wife and I are planning a trip to Hong Kong this summer. We will be arriving on July 18th and will be spending 3 nights in Hong Kong and then traveling to Beijing. I am trying to figure out the best way to book tickets for the train. I have looked at some travel agency websites and they seem to charge almost double than what I found on your website (160 dollars for a hard sleeper). I'm wondering whether it would be best to just wait until we get to hong kong to book the tickets or is there a cheap way to book online. Thanks.

Sean

Only one train T98B is operating every other day from Hong Kong to Beijing. Since tickets on the train are under great demand, you would better book it through some agents in advance. And you could contact some agencies in Hong Kong for the tickets arrangement. Or, you could take train or bus to Guangzhou first and then take a flight to Beijing, since there are always some discounted tickets available on domestic Chinese flight routes.
