About:Chinese Embassy in New Zealand

Hi,
I am flying from Moscow to Auckland with layover in Shanghai. My flight arrives to Shanghai at 10.10 am and departs at 14.15pm in 2 days - so altogether 52 hours.I will be staying in hotel outside airport. On a day of departure can I come to airport earlier (at 10am) to go to transit zone to satisfy 48 hours visa- free requirements or I must apply for a chinese visa anyway? Thank you!
