About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

I have dual citizenship with Ireland and Canada. I only have an Irish passport. The Chinese embassy in Vancouver Canada wont issue me a visa as they say I need to travel on a Canadian passport as I have Canadian citizenship. Why wont they let me travel on an Irish passport?

It's true that you need to travel on a Canadian passport if you have Canadian citizenship. Why don't you obtain a Canadian passport? If you want to apply for China visa in Canada, you have to get a Canadian passport. If you apply for China visa in Ireland, you can use Irish passport to apply for visa.
