I would like to travel from Wuhan to Changsha using a G Train on the afternoon of Sunday, April 17.  It looks like there are multiple trains departing each day.  Is it necessary to book these seats in advance or can purchases be made on the same day?

Yeah, there are many G trains from Wuhan to Changsha. And it is learned that the real-name booking system is stilled applied on the route. Thus, you would better buy the train tickets at the train station directly.
