About:China Transit Visa

Hello,

I have a Filipino passport, and my child has a US passport. We will be transiting through Beijing, to USA, New York is our final destination. We are all set with the USA requirements, but were informed that since my child, who is less than a year old, has a US passport, she will need to get a visa, even though the layover is less than 2 hours long, and with the same airlines. Is this true?

As far as I know, this shouldn't be the case, but I'm not up-to-date on the latest travel advisories, so I'm just confirming if this is a new policy or not.

Thanks!

Mr.Datar, I didn't hear this piece of news, as far as I know, visa is not required for foreigners who are on direct transit and stay at the Beijing airport for less than 24 hours, you can call the airline company to check this information, they should be familiar with the visa formalities.
