About:Chinese Consulate in New York

Hi,

My parents submitted their Chinese Passport for renew in November 2009 at NYC Consulate. A year and half later, we are still getting "in the process" status. Where/who I should contact to find more information regarding their passport renew status. I've send multiple emails to the Consulate, and their replies are alway "in-process". My parents are in their 60s and really want to take trip to visit the family in China. Any help is appreciated.

Regards,
Susan Johnson

Generally, Chinese passport renewal takes one months at most. Have you visited Chinese consulate in person? I think, there must be something wrong, you'd better go there in person.
