About:China Work Visa

Hi!
I am currently in New Zealand on vacation (tourist visa) and have a job offer in China. I would like to know if it's possible to apply for a chinese work visa outside of your home country or does anyone have experience with such a situation?

When I called the Chinese Consulate in Auckland,NZ they said no but when I called the Chinese Embassy in Wellington, NZ the guy said yes as long as the letter of employment was addressed to the correct embassy/consulate it shouldn't be an issue. As a result I'm not sure what to believe.

Any info or advice you can give will be much appreciated

Thanks,

Yes, China embassy in Wellington, NZ is right, as long as the letter of employment was addressed to correct embassy/consulate, it shouldn't be an issue. Please make the Alien Employment License addressed to China embassy in Wellington, New Zealand.
