About:China Transit Visa

hi,I have Lithuanian passport, and my boyfriend United Kingdom passport,we will be flying fron Vancouver to Sydney and have 3.45hour stopover in Shanghai airport and would like to leave the airport.Do we require any visas?Or we can stay there without it for no more then 48 hours? Thank you.

Yes, you both require China transit visa to leave the airport. If you remain at the airport during the 3.45 hour stopver in Shanghai airport, a visa is not required. You can find the rule for Visa Free Transit on this page
