About:Shenzhen Travel

Hi ,
I will be travelling from Toronto to Hong Kong . I plan to stay in Hong Kong. I however plan on taking a day trip to Shenzhen for shopping . My questions are
1. Do I need a visa for SZ , china with a canadian passport?
2. Would it be better to stay in schezen for two days for shopping?
3. Are hotels budget price?
4. where do I find the bargaing flea markets for good deals ? (you know what I mean)
5. How is the nitelife?
I am planning on doing this withing a week so I hope you will be able to respond soon . Thanks.

Yes, you need a Chinese visa to enter SZ, China. You can try to apply a visa on arrival at Luohu Border.
It is OK to stay in there for 2 days for shopping and Luohu District is a nice area to stay in. You can find many budget hotels in that city.
You can find Bargaining markets in Dongmen area in Luohu District.
To experience nightlife, you should not miss the bars and clubs. SZ has two famous streets noted for their large number of bars and clubs. One street is located in Huaqiao City. The other street is located in the Sea World Square of Shekou District.
