About:Chinese Embassy in Austria

Just a quick question, I am an Austrian citizen but I work in Taiwan with Taiwanese working permit, I need to go to China for a business trip which I might need a 12 months multiple entry visa. There is no China embassy in Taiwan. So does it mean my only option is to send my passport back to Vienna to obtain a visa or is there another way I can get the visa?

You can process your visa in HK from Commissioner's Office of Ministry of China Foreign Affairs. If you can not go there in person, your application can be submitted by someone entrusted.

Thank you so much for the reply, but can i send it over from China? or I need to leave China in-order to apply for a China visa?

Mr.Chang, you can submit your visa applications through any travel agency registered in Hong Kong SAR or relatives and friends living in Hong Kong SAR. Send them all of following documents if you can not go there in person.
Your valid passports, the residential permits (copy or fax) for aliens issued by competent Taiwan authority, valid residential permits (with photocopies) in your passport or residence certificates of other forms.

Hello Ms. Enid

really appreciate your help. Just want to get the fact straight before i proceed further. So currently I have a six month multi entry visa to China and I am currently on business trip in China. I do not have HK residential permit so not sure if I can still do it through HK. I have Taiwan working permit which served as a residency document. I have invitation from my China company, and a valid passport. I have heard that I need to leave China to apply for this visa so my major question is whether I can send the documents to HK from China or I need to leave China

I'm a little puzzled by your question, now if you already hold a six month multiple entry visa to China, why do you want to apply for a new 12 months multiple entry visa to China again?

How did you get your last six month multiple entry visa to China?

In fact, there is not any official diplomatic missions of China government in Taiwan, you can choose to mail back your passport to Vienna to apply for China visa or entrust a travel agency in Taiwan or HK to do it for you.

Well my visa is about to expire... so I want to get a new one... previously I got mine by sending my passport to Vienna to obtain one, and now I would like to do the same, but I was just wondering that do I have to leave China to do that? or I can be in China and send my documents to Vienna. I have heard that you need to have an exit stamp from China in order to apply for another visa, so just want to verify that
