About:Chinese Holidays

i will visit Guilin and Nanning in 25th April to 5th May 2011. Pls help me to arrange my trip so that to avoid the crowd during May Festival. Do i have to book hotel room before my stay and how early do i have to book? Is there any train from Guilin to Nanning? Do i have to book early also?

Yes, better to book hotel room in advance, just book before you go there. The busiest day is only from May 1-3. There are trains between Nanning and Guilin, about 5-6 hours. Better to book train tickets 2-3 days earlier.
