About:China Customs Declaration

My company is opening a branch office in China and herd it was much cheaper to bring a flat screen television/monitor for customer presentations to China than to buy the same quality in China. I know I will need to declare it, but does customs duty apply for goods to be used for business purposes? If so, how is the tax calculated?
