About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

I was told that all Asian passport holders must apply for a Z visa in their home country and cannot get it processed in Hong Kong. Is this true? I'm in China right now and I want to apply for a Z visa in Hong Kong. Is it necessary to go back to the Philippines?

it is not true, with all required documents, you can apply your Z visa in HK if you got your visa to China in Philippines before.

My visa now is a Business visa issued in China... but I've gotten visas to China from the Philippines in the past. Is it still necessary for me to go to the Philippines to apply for the Z visa?
