Hi there, I am goin to Hongkong this March 25-31, 2011, can you assist me on some doubts.  I wanted to purchase the Airport Express Pass which cost HKD 300 for a free roundtrip airport transer.  I will be staying at Tsim Sha Tsui will the pass beneficial for my stay or the octopus card. My iterinary as follows: Day 1: HKIA to HopInn Guest house arriving around 7PM, will it be possible to go to Avenue of the starsDay 2: HopInn to Prince of Whales hospital (Shatin. N.T.) whole day for a summit convention then back to Tsim sha tsui, after where can I possible go? Day 3:  same as day 2day 4: Hong Kong Disney (whole day)day 5: Nyong Ping and Ocean Park (possible?)day 6: Check out in HopInn and travel to MacauDay 7: Back from Macau to HK around before lunch time will be in HK, suggestions for iterinary? My flight back to the Philippines will be at 10pm so I still have about half day in Hong Kong. Another thing, will the Express pass still be valid for after 3 days of consumable mtr rides and can be availed back to HKIA on the 7th day.  Will the HKD300 be consumed after 3 days or I can still avail of it after 3 days of use or do I have to add up to convert to regular octopus card? Base on my iterinary will it be ok to purchase the express pass or better to purchase octopus?  Which way can I save? An early reply on my inquiries is greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance. You can use the travel pass to and from Kowloon Station. There are free K shuttle buses which run among hotels. The hotel is not cery close to Kowloon Station. You can take free shuttle bus K2 to Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel. Your guesthouse is nearby. The Octopus card attached to the travel pass will only cover three days within the 300HKD. So, you have to pay for the other days. Day 1, if you can arrive in the guest house at 7pm, it is possible to go to Avenue of Stars. It is within walking distance. I think you ask the time for the Symphony of Light at 8pm? In fact the avenue is pobbible to visit at any time. Day 2: take MTR. The nearest MTR Station to your place is Tsim Sha Tsui. You have to make transfer to Sha Tin. Where to go after that, it depends on time. Day 4: Take MTR from Tsim Sha Tsui - Lai King - Suuny Bay - Disneyland. This is the MTR route. Transfers involved. Day 5: Take MTR from Tsim Sha Tsui - Lai King - Tung Chung. Then take cable or bus to Ngong Ping. As you can see, Ngong Ping is closer to Disneyland. If you still want it in the same day with Ocean Park, get back to Tsim Sha Tsui direction. Do not get off at Tsim Sha Tsui but next stop, Admiralty. Then take bus 629 to Ocean Park. The 3 days availed on MTR refers to 72 hours exactly since your first time use. The 3 days card can not be used in city bus. So, it you want to save, I just recommend you buy on-load Octopus card which can be used in MTR, city bus, ferry, seven-eleven etc. Take cheaper airport bus A21 in stead of expensive airport express. Your guest house is within walking distance to the airport bus station.
