im planning visit wuxi from shanghai for day tour by bullet train.

Question

Im planning visit Wuxi from Shanghai for day tour by Bullet train. Is it right that only Shanghai Hongqiao Station has bullet train which reach Wuxi in approx. 1 hour ? I understand tickets are being sold out quick, I plan to purchase the train tickets on my first day of arrival at Shanghai in the evening. Is there a website for purchase train tickets in advance without paying any handling fees etc ? I will collect the ticket myself at train station.

You are right that bullet trains from Shanghai to Wuxi only departs from Hongqiao railway station. It's not so hard to buy the train tickets on your arrival at Shanghai if you won't go during the public festivals. You can book the train ticket online at https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/shanghai-schedule.htm but you have to pay extra fees for their service.
