About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Hello. I will be spending 2 months in Japan this spring, then a few weeks in S.Korea, then onto China. My question is, since I'm not sure of exact dates (I'm winging most of it), after I enter China on a tourist 3month visa, how long do I have? For example if date of issuance is May 1, 2011, and I don't enter until July 26, do I still have 3months to travel? Or would it only be 30days? Sorry not sure how to phrase my question. I guess what I'm trying to ask is when exactly the visa expires? If I enter on the last day of my visa, will I still have 30days to travel? Or is it possible to get a 6month tourist visa? That would be my best bet.
Thank is advance to whomever attempts to answer this! :-)

If you get a single entry L visa, the date of issuance is May 1, 2011, the last date for you to enter Mainland China is August 1, 2011, after August 1, 2011, the visa expires, you can't use it to enter China. The stay duration is counted from the date of entry, if you enter China on the last day of your visa, you still have 30 days to travel in China. You can try to apply for 6 months tourist visa.

You confuse the validity and stay duration of China visa, validity means the period from date of issuance to date of enter before. stay duration is counted from the date of entry.
