Can someone give me a detailed description of how to get to Macau from Zhuhai?  Is it better to stay at Zhuhai or Macua? Which hotel/hostel?

The two cities are neighbourhood. Go to Gongbei Border, Zhuhai and pass through the customs, you will get into Macau. The hotels in Zhuhai are comparatively cheaper than hotels in Macau. Thus you may try to stay in a hotel near Gongbei border in Zhuhai, such as Hotel Jumbo Zhuhai.
