I will be in Guangzhou about 24th Apr. I plan to travel from Guangzhou East train stn to HK. I wish to know would I be able to just walk into the train station and buy tickets from the counter on the spot? or do I have to buy in advance? How much wld the tickets be and time taken?
How about if I intend to travel from Guangzhou to Zhuhai. Is there a direct
express train? and which station should I take from?
Appreciate someone can assist me on the above.
Tks.

Yes, you could go to Guangzhou East Railway Station and purchase the train ticket on the spot. It is better to arrive at the train station 2~3 hours in advance. The ticket fare is HKD190/adult. There are 12 trains to Hong Kong everyday, respectively at 08:19, 09:03, 09:50, 10:39, 12:12, 13:52, 15:31, 16:12, 16:56, 18:15, 20:15 and 21:32, taking about 2 hours on the way.

At Guangzhou South Railway Station, you could take an express train to Zhuhai directly in one hour.
