Question

My ex-husband fled to China and is living and working there.  How do you apply for a Z visa and how long can he stay there.  Also, does he need to work for an Amerixan company doing work in the Chongqing  China area.  He has beern there 18 months.  How is that possible.  Thanks for any info out there.

The duration of China work visa is 30 days in gerneral, and Z visa holders are required to change their z visa into residence permit at local PSB where they work in China. The residence permit works as a multiple entry visa with duration of one year or more (according to their work contract with their employer). So, it is possible for your ex-husband to stay for 18 months in China.
