About:China Visa Exemption

I am an Australian passport holder and Hong Kong permanent resident. Currently I don't need a visa if I go from Hong Kong to China with the (HK residents visiting China Card). Just wonder whether I need a Visa if I fly from Australia to China (with direct flight)? Can I use that Card instead of the visa?

Is this card the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents? if yes, you can use it instead of the visa.
