About:Chinese Consulate in Vancouver

Hi,

I have bee informed that besides a valid Canadian passport, I need to bring my previous expired passport and Canadian citizenship card. Can you confirm this and also what other documents are required? I am a Canadian citizen (for over 30 yrs) who was born in China but do not have a Chinese passport.

"5. Other documents deemed necessary by the Visa Officer."

Yes, if your current passport is new and apply for the first time, you are required to provide photocopies of your old passport before renewal with all records of Chinese visas on it (if any). Other requirements are your original copy of passport, fully completed copy of Visa Application Forms, One recent 2×2(in.)-sized color passport photo and your Canadian citizenship card.
